I’m Steve Authier, the proud co-owner of Integrimark Inc., along with my son, Phillip.

I look forward to sharing part of our story. Phil will share his in a separate post. We hope you will enjoy getting to know us better.

My grandfather was a contractor, and so was my father. That cool picture of the old truck on our home page is my grandfather’s contractor truck. But, for the first thirty-five years of my working life, I had chosen not to follow in their footsteps. Even though I built my own house and finished many basements over the years, I decided my true calling was to become a pastor.

When I retired as a pastor, I helped my son, Phillip, do some renovation work on an old house he bought. After a few weeks on the job, he started talking about how much he loved doing renovation work, and he proposed we re-launch the family business.

I have always been proud of my family’s heritage and seeing my son, as the fourth generation who had a keen interest in continuing the legacy, was enough motivation for me to give the idea the green signal.

In our five years of business, we have gone from strength to strength and employ a team of seven craftsmen who possess decades of experience, which helped us cope with demand and maintain the high level of craftsmanship we’ve set for our team.

We believe in providing superior quality, and making sure our customers are thrilled with the finished product. The most rewarding part of my work is witnessing the joy it brings to our clients’ faces when we successfully transform their home.

Our success comes from our highly skilled crew, who are committed to doing excellent work. The icing on the cake has been watching my son develop into a strong principled leader.

I believe our family’s integrity is what sets us apart from our competitors. It is not about making a ton of money, but about providing a great product at a fair cost, and being contributing members in our community.

I like to volunteer with different groups in the community that I care deeply about. I’m a big believer in poverty reduction. I, as well as I our company support groups, like World Vision, Habitat for Humanity, and Indwell.

When I’m not working, I love to blog, write fiction, and play guitar. I also enjoy photography and keeping active, which includes playing hockey and golf

I have enjoyed sharing part of our story about the things which matter to us and how they influence the way we do business.
