Why remodel my bathroom?
If you’re considering selling your home, remodeling your bathroom is a key decision. Relative to much of the major remodeling that can be done to a home, a bathroom remodel is quite attractive. Maybe you plan on staying in your home for years to come. Perhaps you want to convert that old jacuzzi into a stand-alone tub or an expansive walk-in shower. Maybe your bathroom is worn and dated and a refresh is going to meet your needs.
What’s the process involved in getting an estimate?
We start with a phone conversation about your bathroom project to learn more about what you’re considering doing. We give you a rough estimate of what it might cost. We do this because for many the cost of remodeling a bathroom is unknown. For example, a person might think redoing their bathroom cost in the $8,000 range, when in reality the typical bathroom is more likely in the $22,000 range. It’s important for homeowners to have a good expectation of the relative cost to remodel a bathroom.
If the rough costs fit within the homeowner’s budget, we come to their home to do a free estimate. We take measurements and determine the details of what they want. We then prepare an estimate which provides all the details of the cost involved. Transparency is important to us.
What’s the next step if the homeowner wants to move forward with a contract?
We determine a start date. Sign the detailed contract, collect the first deposit, and begin the design and permit process, if a permit is required. A permit is not necessarily required if there’s not structural work to be done, such as removing a load-bearing wall, or if there’s no major plumbing or electrical to be done. If the fixtures stay in the same place, a permit is not likely required. Our project management team will work with you to create the plan for your dream bathroom.

How long will it take to remodel my bathroom?
There are various factors that impact the length of a bathroom remodel. One of the most popular features to remodeling a bathroom involves expanding the bathroom footprint. This will involve removing a wall or two, even perhaps a load-bearing wall. This adds significant time to the project length. A regular size bathroom without any major redesign can typically take two to three weeks. A larger bathroom remodel with structural work and major redesign can typically take six to eight weeks.
