Getting an award is always nice. But getting an award you’ve specifically set as part of your long-term professional goal is especially gratifying. When Integrimark co-founder and co-owner, Phil Authier, attended his first Presidents’ Gala for the Hamilton builders’ association, known as West End Home Builders’ Association (WE HBA), back a few years ago he was in awe to see that year’s recipient of the Renovator Member of the Year award. He made a commitment to himself that he would continue to work hard to position Integrimark to one day be the recipient of this prestigious award.
Giving back to our community is important to Integrimark. It’s in our DNA and an explicit part of our core values. We give back to our community in various ways, beyond just financial support to local charities such as Habitat for Humanity and Indwell, and local minor sports organizations. We also give back by playing an integral part of the local builders’ association, WE HBA. We understand that a healthy renovator and builder industry is in the best interest, of not only Integrimark, but of the Greater Hamilton community. Contributing to developing a healthy and sustainable construction industry matters to Integrimark, because it matters to our community.
Ontario has significant growth forecast over the next few decades. The best way to service that growth is through a vibrant and strong construction industry. We want to be part of that plan.
The Renovator of the Year award is given to a member who has, during the past year, made a significant contribution to the renovation industry and the local association.
Receiving the award was a thrill because it validates our commitment to the renovation industry and our local association. It confirms that what we’re doing is part of making a difference in our community.
We understand some of the challenges homeowners face when selecting a contractor for their renovation. We understand some of the apprehension they have. Trust is a recurring theme. When speaking with potential clients we let them know we understand their concerns that there are indeed a high percentage of questionable contractors in the marketplace. But we also say, we’re not the only good and trustworthy contractor in the area. We tell them they’d be in good hands with any member from WE HBA. We have faith in our association.
So, when Phil Authier was called up to receive the Renovator Member of the Year award it mattered to us. It was exciting on many levels. We’re proud of the work and commitment Phil put into WE HBA and our greater community.
It was a big deal for us.
Having other renovator members like ourselves who care about our community matters to us, and we know it matters to our community.
